A Fellowship of Men
drawn to Christ!
The Catholic Men's Conference is a fellowship of
men from parishes throughout the Birmingham area
who chose to respond to the call of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit has endowed these men with the
grace, patience, and fortitude to gather their
strength and find inspiration by answer His
daring call to spend an hour with Him (Luke 22:38)
We are men from all walks of life who are committed to gathering in fellowship
that is centered on Christ and the Blessed Sacrament. The Eucharist is the source
and summit of our faith, and we who hold the True Presence of the Lord, cannot
deny the time to be spend with Him who strengthens and increases our hope.
As a result, we're drawn to Christ, and we also
lean on each other for support, advice and
encouragement. This unique community of
men, helps foster the spirit of kinship, charity
and love for one another. It helps us to
discover the true potential of our calling, as
God himself has intended us to be men of faith,
prayer and deep spirituality.
Our common fellowship usually begins with the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Soon after,
the celebrant offers us the opportunity for Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament, and Benediction. Confessions
are heard during the period of recollection.
There will be abundant time for
personal prayer and reflection. Some prayer and reading materials
are included should you not have any available.
We encourage you to
bring your own personal prayer books and
rosaries, if you wish to use them. At the
conclusion of this solemn hour, we invite you to
join us for snacks and drinks in the parish
hall nearby.
Join us soon...
Our next fellowship is on:
| Thursday, October
27th at Our Lady of the Valley,
Oak Mountain. We will be joined by
Dennis Krantz, a recent convert to the
faith. He will offer us a great
insight into the Jewish roots of
Catholicism. |
